CNC Turner Programmer/Setter Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner Programmer/Setter to join our client's team in Aylesbury. As a key member of the machine shop, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines with Fanuc controls.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in programming and operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controls, as well as experience with 3 and 5 axis milling. Off-line programming experience with HyperMILL is an advantage, but not essential.

Our client is a highly regarded manufacturer of precision fabricated components and thermal insulation solutions for the motorsport and automotive industries. The machine shop consists of 3 machines, including a CNC Lathe, a 3 axis Hurco CNC Miller, and a 5 axis Hurco CNC Miller.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program and set CNC turning machines with Fanuc controls
  • Operate CNC milling machines, including 3 and 5 axis machines
  • Assess engineering drawings to determine the most efficient machining strategy
  • Agree lead times with the Machine shop supervisor
  • Maintain machine maintenance schedules
