About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate clinician to join our team as a Mental Health Practitioner. As a key member of our Closer2Home service, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with acute mental health problems in their homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment and intensive support for young people with mental health needs who present high levels of risk
  • Support assessment prior to admission to inpatient care, where required
  • Deliver planned intensive home or community-based treatment services, as well as specialist intensive home treatment for young people whose needs exceed the threshold for Tier 3 CAMHS
  • Support discharge to facilitate timely discharge from hospital
  • Support the reduction of health inequalities in children and young people mental health pathways

What You'll Need

  • Nationally recognised core qualification RN, RMN, Social work, Psychology
  • Professional Qualification at first degree level or equivalent
  • Completion of further post-qualification specialist training at post graduate level
  • Experience of specialist mental health assessment and treatment of children and adolescents and their families/carers
  • Experience of working with a wide variety of children, adolescents and their families/carers across the whole range and presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity
