An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Ward Sister/Charge Nurse on Morlais Ward at Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen.
Morlais Ward is a 9-bedded acute adult mental health inpatient ward with allocated CAMHS inpatient provision. We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to provide exceptional, person-centred care in an environment that fosters learning and reflective practice.
Main Responsibilities- Assess care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care without supervision.
- Teach other nursing and non-nursing staff, including regular supervision and appraisal of staff nurses.
- Take charge in the absence of the Ward Manager, who has overall continuing responsibility.
Key skills and qualifications include outstanding communication, leadership, and documentation skills. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable, but not essential. We offer support, training, and regular supervision to ensure the successful candidate thrives in this challenging yet rewarding role.
