About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Officer to join our team at Leeds Music Education Partnership. As a Commissioning Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective delivery of commissioning and contract management outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of commissioning strategies to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people.
  • Coordinate projects within the Commissioning Manager's portfolio, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Undertake data analysis of service performance and completion of reports to inform decision-making.
  • Design and develop services to improve children's outcomes and meet need, while ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support the active involvement of children and young people and families in how Children and Families services are commissioned and delivered.
  • Develop and maintain systems and processes to ensure safeguarding, quality assurance, information governance, performance, and risk assessments.
Requirements
  • Relevant technical skills, knowledge, qualifications, and membership of relevant professional bodies.
  • Ability to use MS Office and IT packages to produce accurate reports and information to support commissioning practices.
  • Ability to understand and observe Leeds Music Education Partnership's Equal Opportunities Policy.
  • Willingness to actively participate in training and development activities to ensure up-to-date knowledge, skills, and continuous professional development.
Desirable Skills
  • Ability to find and implement creative and innovative solutions to complex managerial problems.
  • Knowledge and familiarity of current working practices of key partners to support commissioning activity.
