We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor/Mentor to join our team at Targeted Provision. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational needs of vulnerable children and young people.
Our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. We believe in a holistic, child-centred approach to education, and we are committed to providing high-quality support to our students.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver 1-1 tuition sessions to students with a range of learning needs, including those with SEND, Looked After Children, and those not currently in school.
- Work collaboratively with our team of SEND Support Specialists to provide comprehensive support to our students.
- Develop and implement tailored learning plans to meet the individual needs of each student.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and reporting to parents and carers.
- Contribute to the development of our team's expertise and knowledge in areas such as safeguarding, SEND, and trauma-informed practice.
- Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS/ QTLS)
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience
- Experience working with young people with Additional Educational Needs
- Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
- Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
- Two professional references
- A competitive hourly rate of between £25-£30 per hour, plus holiday pay
