Job Description

Senior Drainage Engineer

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly skilled Senior Drainage Engineer to join our national team. As a key member of our drainage team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering drainage infrastructure solutions for a variety of clients, including water companies, local authorities, and developers.

The Role

  • Design and deliver drainage infrastructure solutions for major projects
  • Assist in the development of drainage design solutions on multi-disciplinary projects
  • Comply with CDM Regulations and safety and environmental requirements
  • Project and design management of schemes, delivering projects to time and to budget
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to market AtkinsRéalis' SUDS expertise to a wide variety of clients
  • Prepare financial and technical proposals for project opportunities
  • Supervise, manage, and technically develop junior members of the team
  • Coordinate with other disciplines working on the projects and site team

Requirements

  • Chartered status (ICE or CIWEM)
  • Experience in drainage design, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS)
  • Competence in the use of AutoCAD and Hydraulic modelling – preferably Microdrainage and/or Civils 3D
  • Working knowledge of the CDM Regulations
  • Proven track record in coordinating and delivering technically excellent projects on time and to budget
  • First-class written and oral communication skills
  • Natural curiosity for developing innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions for clients

Additional Information

This role may require security clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
