Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Adoption Social Worker to join our team at Wiltshire Council. As a key member of our adoption services, you will play a vital role in supporting adoptive families and ensuring the best possible outcomes for children.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and support to adoptive families, addressing their complex needs and promoting positive relationships.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of adoptive families, identifying their strengths and areas for development.
  • Collaborate with children and families with complex needs, developing and implementing tailored support plans.
  • Deliver therapeutic support to families, either directly or through the application of ASF frameworks.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our adoption services team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality support to adoptive families. As a skilled Adoption Social Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of our adoption strategies, working closely with colleagues and partners to achieve outstanding outcomes.

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Adoption Social Worker who possesses a professional social work qualification and is registered with Social Work England. You will have a strong understanding of adoption principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
