Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role for a dedicated and experienced education professional to join our team at East Dunbartonshire Council. As a Principal Teacher, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of teachers and support staff to deliver high-quality education to our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of teachers and support staff to deliver high-quality education to our students.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies to improve student outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of teachers and support staff, providing feedback and coaching to improve practice.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of educational programs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of educational policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Principal Teacher or in a similar leadership role.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with staff, students, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve student outcomes.
  • Knowledge of educational policies and procedures, with the ability to apply them in a practical context.
