About the Role

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team as SEN Learning Mentors/Teaching Assistants to support young people with additional needs in a range of mainstream schools across Gloucester and surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with class teachers and SENDCo to deliver targeted interventions and support pupils with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
  • Manage challenging behavior in a calm and patient manner, ensuring pupil safety and welfare are always maintained.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the needs of pupils with EHCPs.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional well-being.

Requirements

  • Good level of spoken and written English.
  • Previous experience working in an educational setting, preferably with pupils with SEND and/or mental health needs.
  • High levels of patience, flexibility, and initiative.
