Job Title: Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join our team in Reading.

Job Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive works to building plant, equipment, and systems in accordance with agreed service levels. Additionally, the successful candidate will undertake small installation works and respond to site engineering emergencies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure routine maintenance is carried out to all electrical and mechanical systems to meet and exceed expectations, and agreed service level agreements.
  2. Carry out reactive repairs on all systems as required, calling relevant sub-contractors as necessary.
  3. Perform all PPM maintenance as per the instruction set provided within Concept.
  4. Liaise with sub-contractors as required for repairs/quotations, monitoring performance of sub-contractor personnel.
  5. Sign off completed PPM and reactive tasks in line with policies and procedures in a timely manner.
  6. Ensure the provision of a safe and healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures, and working arrangements, as required.
  7. To be involved in call-out rota if applicable.
  8. Liaise and work with other trade engineers to ensure electrical issues on all systems are attended to and resolved within SLA agreements.
Requirements
  • A good basic education is essential, with good written and spoken English and basic mathematical skills.
  • Recognized Electrical Qualification.
  • C&G 17th Edition in Electrical Installations.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Good knowledge of various building electrical systems and working to Planned Preventative Maintenance Regimes.
  • Current and relative knowledge of BS in relation to electrical systems on site Emerg/Fire alarm/power/BMS etc.
  • Experience of electrical systems management and paperwork.
  • Must be reliable and able to work without supervision.
Circumstances
  • Able to work within a call-out rota.
  • Able to work shifts within the contract set up.
  • To be available for weekend and out of hours working as required.
