Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written, coupled with a strong sense of urgency and a results-driven mindset.
  • Analyze product issues in the Mobile Video sector through comprehensive failure data assessment and collaboration with Quality Assurance, manufacturing, support, and deployment teams.
  • Conduct log analysis on Linux-based devices to pinpoint specific failures, their frequency, and device conditions at the time of failure.
  • Test returned products and existing inventory to replicate field issues, providing detailed reproduction instructions to development engineering.
  • Utilize standard laboratory equipment such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and power supplies.
  • Formulate testing methodologies to assist in uncovering the root causes of field issues.
  • Employ laboratory tools to determine the root cause of reported issues.
  • Execute reliability assessments, including Electrical & Mechanical Stress Testing, Shock/Drop/Vibration Testing, and Environmental Testing to replicate field failures.
  • Travel to customer sites to gain insights into product issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Apply Design of Experiments (DOE) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) techniques to identify root causes and validate resolutions.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of testing protocols, results, and customer impacts.
  • Possess knowledge of battery and energy products, with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
  • Maintain composure and focus in high-pressure situations, particularly when engaging with law enforcement clients.
  • Work autonomously as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Exhibit self-motivation and self-management to fulfill responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Present findings and recommendations to colleagues, management, and senior leadership.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with Linux systems is advantageous.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to meet security clearance requirements.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
