Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

Operational Duties

Collaborating on a shift basis under the guidance of seasoned Aircraft Mechanics and Engineers, your tasks will include:

  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of aircraft maintenance practices and completing all assigned training programs.
  • Conducting maintenance operations for Cathay Group aircraft and, when applicable, third-party clients.
  • Assisting with local or international operational support duties as needed.
  • Monitoring the performance of third-party service providers (technical, ramp services, de-icing, refueling, etc.), addressing and resolving any operational challenges promptly.
  • Supporting contingency plans and responding to ad hoc operational needs such as diversions, charters, and recovery from major disruptions.
  • Performing maintenance and servicing on ground support equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
  • Assisting with quality assurance audits and ensuring compliance with findings within designated timelines.
  • Managing station documentation and ensuring all records are current and valid as directed by management.
  • Upholding local Occupational Health & Safety standards and regulations.
  • Collaborating with various teams on training and projects to enhance line maintenance experience.
  • Undertaking any other reasonable tasks as requested, including non-operational duties.

Performance Management and Continuous Improvement

  • Understanding and acting upon annual performance goals.
  • Participating in performance evaluations and discussing career development with your designated appraiser.
  • Attending station meetings to foster effective communication and engagement.
  • Embracing a culture of continuous improvement through innovation, teamwork, and efficient processes to enhance operational effectiveness.

Emergency Response

  • Fulfilling responsibilities related to emergency and crisis response as required.
Requirements

Educational Background

  • Recent graduates with a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Aviation, or a related field.

Skills and Experience

  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Demonstrated understanding of aircraft maintenance operations.
  • Willingness to undergo necessary training, including safety awareness and operational procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Previous experience in an airline internship or similar aviation role is advantageous.
