About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated School Health Assistant to join our team at Sirona care & health CIC. As a key member of our School Nursing Service, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of integrated, evidence-based services for children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) by arranging dates with schools, measuring children's height and weight, and following up with subsequent referrals.
  • Carry out vision screening as per local guidance, including arranging dates with schools, completing the screen, capturing data, and managing any subsequent referrals.
  • Deliver specified support packages to families, which are short-term, time-limited interventions, including extended brief interventions to support local NCMP pilots.
  • Participate in the planning, organisation, delivery, and evaluation of health promotion activities.
  • Prepare health promotion boards that engage children, young people, and families in health-promoting information.
  • Perform general administrative and clerical duties as required.
  • Maintain accurate and contemporaneous record-keeping in line with local and national guidelines and policy.
