Warehouse Operative Job Description
Get Staffed Online Recruitment is seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative to join their growing production team at a market-leading joinery specialist in Amersham. As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring quality control and delivering excellent service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accurate inventory levels and efficient stock control.
- Liaise with the Production Manager to plan and coordinate delivery schedules, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety standards and company policies.
- Oversee quality control measures during the wrapping and packing stage of production, ensuring products meet the highest standards.
- Participate in a weekly cleaning rota of the warehouse and workshop, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
- Recycle packaging materials and maintain the temperature control of the workshop and offices.
- Coordinate projects to optimize workshop space and manage stock control of workshop consumables and PPE.
- Report to the Production Manager and Office team as necessary, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures surrounding Health and Safety and adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment.
- Assist in the machine shop, receiving training as necessary.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
- Experience operating a Forklift, with a valid license or certificate (training will be provided for the right candidate).
- A good level of physical fitness, as the role will require manual handling and lifting.
- Quality Control experience is desirable, but not essential.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8-hour day (7:30 am – 4:00 pm), with overtime opportunities available.
