Deputy Nursery Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our vibrant and award-winning nursery in the Manchester area. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the nursery and providing high-quality care and education to our children.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Nursery Manager in their absence, ensuring consistent and high-quality care and education across all age groups.
- Manage the nursery team, ensuring the correct staff-to-child ratios are met at all times and overseeing the weekly staff rota.
- Support the delivery of a creative and engaging early years curriculum that meets the needs of each individual child.
- Promote positive relationships with parents and carers, ensuring effective communication and involvement in their child's progress.
- Assist with staff recruitment, onboarding, and training to ensure a strong, dedicated team.
- Ensure the nursery meets health, safety, and safeguarding standards, including conducting risk assessments and adhering to policies.
- Previous leadership or team management experience within an Early Years setting.
- Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Childcare or Early Years.
- Strong understanding of nursery administration, including staffing and rota management.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Commitment to safeguarding, health and safety, and early childhood education standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with staff, parents, and external agencies.
A competitive salary of £27,000 to £31,900, plus a range of benefits and opportunities for professional development.
