We are seeking a highly skilled Front End Developer to join our team at Absolute Collagen, a leading company in the collagen industry. As a Front End Developer, you will play a crucial role in the modernization of our digital infrastructure, working closely with our Lead Engineer and Engineering Manager to drive performance-based initiatives focused on stability and scalability.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Support the design and creation of scalable software solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Lead Engineer, Full Stack Engineer, Data Engineer, product design, product management, and other stakeholders to ideate software solutions
- Design and develop client-side and server-side applications
- Design and develop modern and secure internal and public APIs
- Write clean, documented, and functional code
- Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software
- Write technical documentation
- Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software
- Implement prototype applications, environments, and technical proof of concepts to guide technical strategy and approach
Requirements
- Proven experience as a full-stack developer, ideally working on D2C products and APIs
- Great development skills coupled with pragmatic thinking
- Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and common stacks
- Knowledge and experience of industry best practices and tools
- Experience developing web-based applications
- Experience with the current stack used at Absolute Collagen: Shopify Plus (including Shopify Liquid, Shopify APIs - GraphQL and REST, Shopify Functions, and Shopify Checkout UI Extensions, Shopify Checkout Extensibility), Recharge Subscriptions or similar Subscriptions platform
- Our future tech stack will include: React.JS, Node.JS, TypeScript, Next.JS, Sanity/Contentful, Vercel – having some knowledge of this stack will be beneficial
- Deep familiarity with data tracking governance (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Segment, Server-side tracking set-up, identity stitching, etc)
- Experience with Git, Docker, and CI/CD
- Experience with mockup and UI prototyping tools such as Figma
