We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team at Ross Care. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering, collecting, repairing, and servicing wheelchairs to ensure our customers receive the highest level of service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and collect wheelchairs to and from service users' homes and NHS departments, adhering to our Infection Control Policy.
  • Servicing and repairing wheelchairs in the field, aiming for a first-time fix whenever possible.
  • Ensure accurate completion of paperwork and update the database with necessary information.
  • Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as instructed and maintain a tidy vehicle.
  • Undertake out-of-hours responsibilities when rostered and observe regulations for driving and using company vehicles.
Requirements:
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Successful enhanced DBS check.
  • General workshop knowledge and basic electrical knowledge, including 12v/24v D.C. systems.
  • Able to move and handle loads and equipment safely.
  • Experience of face-to-face customer contact and previous delivery driver experience.
  • Awareness and understanding of people with disabilities and a flexible approach to working conditions and environment changes.
Physical Demands:
  • Moving and handling equipment and accessories following handling guidelines.
  • Standing at a bench to work, kneeling/crouching, and working in confined spaces if necessary.
