Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer

At Biffa Waste Services Limited, we're committed to changing the way people think about waste. We're seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the effective operation of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and optimize all elements of our IT infrastructure, including server infrastructure and local onsite systems.
  • Monitor IT service performance, availability, and capacity to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the IT Department and business units on hardware, software, network, and related computer systems.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in infrastructure design and support, with a strong understanding of Linux and Windows administration.
  • Knowledge of enterprise anti-virus and cloud technologies, with the ability to propose relevant IT responses to changing business and project risks.
  • Ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of Biffa's business plans and relate that knowledge to identify operational and IT-related initiatives.
