Banana Moon Day Nurseries is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day operations of the nursery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Nursery Manager in implementing and maintaining policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with the Nursery Manager on a daily basis and provide support for them and the team.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery in the Manager's absence.
- Embed the bespoke, play-based Banana Moon Curriculum.
- Build strong relationships with families, fostering open communication and supporting their child's development milestones.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all staff and children in the nursery.
- Be a positive role model to other staff throughout the nursery.
Requirements:
- Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years or Childcare.
- Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and statutory requirements.
- DBS clearance and relevant safeguarding training.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous Deputy Manager/Room Leader experience working in a nursery environment.
- Recent regulatory body experience is preferred but not essential.
- Experience of working in partnership with parents and outside agencies.
