We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Learning Disability Nurse to join our East and South Cheshire Community Learning Disability Team as a Senior Practitioner. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing high-quality care and support to adults with learning disabilities and complex health needs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Assess, plan, and evaluate care for clients and carers, ensuring a person-centred approach.
- Participate in and develop nursing practice, staying up-to-date with current issues and legislation.
- Support clients in crisis, using Positive Behaviour Support and other evidence-based approaches.
- Deliver training to other professionals and services, sharing knowledge and expertise.
- Lead a team, chairing meetings and implementing quality initiatives.
- First-level nurse qualification (RNLD/RNMH/RMN) with post-registration training in specialist areas.
- Experience working with adults with learning disabilities in a community setting, including complex needs and challenging behaviour.
- Clinical supervision and training delivery experience.
- Positive attitude to people with learning disabilities and awareness of current issues and legislation.
