Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer – Product Security (PSec Architect) to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering Delivery team, you will contribute to the design, build, integration, and through-life support of all Submarine Platforms in the Royal Naval fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement risk-based cyber security requirements for systems and subsystems
- Provide technical guidance and support for all aspects of cyber security and resilience
- Support cyber security analysis work, developing threat taxonomies, security architectures, security baselines, and risk mitigations
- Assist in producing test plans and schedules, and supporting informal and formal cyber security testing
- Support engineering gated reviews and design assurance activities
- Assist with the production of security artefacts, such as risk registers, security assurance cases, plans, and schedules
Requirements:
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant STEM or Information Security related subject
- Experience working in a Product/System Engineering or IT operational environment
- Experience working to define and/or implement risk mitigations and controls
- Experience working within a wider risk management programme in line with industry good practice (NIST, ISO 27001)
Desirable Skills:
- Experience of product development activities in the defence, maritime, nuclear, or other regulated domains
- Experience of delivering security Risk Management documentation in accordance with MOD Policies and regulations
- Project Management exposure
