Roche is a global leader in healthcare, and we're looking for a talented Legal Counsel to join our team in the UK. As a Legal Counsel, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that our operations are legally compliant and efficient, contributing to our mission of improving patients' lives worldwide.

Your Role:
  • Corporate: Collaborate with the Roche group to ensure adherence to global legal policies and procedures, interpreting EU / UK / Irish law and regulations, and advising on legal issues in multiple fields, including healthcare compliance, commercial, value & access.
  • Commercial: Partner with the UK business, focusing on commercial matters, providing competition, digital, data privacy, AI, and innovative legal solutions, and advising on global and local procurement agreements and student/apprenticeship contracts.
  • R&D: Support clinical, regulatory, medical device, and quality matters, and coordinate legal processes with global R&D lawyers to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Data Privacy: Assist the local DPO deliver on compliance priorities, projects, and initiatives, and support the legal team's provision of advice to the business in relation to data privacy and matters.
  • Horizon Scanning: Monitor legislative changes, assess risks and opportunities, and integrate key legal considerations into business strategy and risk management.
Who You Are:
  • Education: Law degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: You bring a few years of PQE in corporate and commercial law, ideally with exposure to pharmaceutical, healthcare, technology, or R&D sectors.
  • Skills: You possess strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills, and are well-versed in corporate and commercial law, with the ability to lead complex legal matters effectively.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is crucial. Additional language skills are an advantage.
