Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Cpm Group Limited. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous running of our production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive engineering activities on site to ensure the safe operation of plant and equipment.
- Work on various different types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
- Contribute to the overall safe operation of plant and equipment, safety, quality, waste, and OEE targets.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans to prevent equipment failure and reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and implement process improvements.
- Perform routine PPM activities and electrical fault finding.
- Interrogate and understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information and recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with operatives and team leaders from both maintenance and production.
Requirements:
- Excellent mechanical and/or electrical working knowledge and experience.
- Time served/apprentice trained in a similar position, with recognised Mechanical / Electrical qualifications.
- Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- Experience, understanding, and knowledge of the maintenance of a high-volume manufacturing plant and equipment.
- Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine PPM activities.
- Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills, dealing with operatives, Team leaders from both maintenance and production.
