Job Title: Motor Vehicle Technician

Location: Sandhurst

Salary: Up to £38,000 (depending on experience and qualifications) + bonus – OTE Up to £48,000

Full Time and Permanent - 40 hours a week - Monday to Friday with 1 in 4 Saturday mornings paid as overtime

We are a leading independent global automotive distributor and retailer. We present in 36 national markets and operate as a key strategic partner to the world's foremost premium and luxury car brands for whom they provide an effective, well-financed and customer-centred route to market for vehicles and parts.

We are now actively looking to recruit for a Motor Vehicle Technician for their dealership in Sandhurst. We are also happy to consider Diagnostic Technicians and Master Technicians for the same site (salaries would be higher). We will also consider Level 2 Technicians but their salary would be lower.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Carry out vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Utilizing your technical knowledge
  • Testing, diagnosing and resolving faults
  • Suggesting and making improvements to processes
  • Working on electrical and mechanical systems
  • Inspecting components for wear and tear
  • Repairing and replacing parts
  • Checking vehicle subsystems
  • Liaising with customers where necessary
  • Supporting other Technicians in the Workshop
The Ideal Candidate:
  • The knowledge to use modern diagnostic equipment
  • The capability of working to the highest quality standards
  • Great team player and communication skills
  • Maintain high standards of house-keeping
  • Prior experience in working to efficiency targets
  • A full UK driving license
  • Experience within a main automotive dealer is preferable, but not essential
  • VOSA-approved MOT tester an advantage but not essential
  • Must hold Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair NVQ or equivalent
