About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Collection Specialist to join our team at Explorers Federal Credit Union. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing complex ledgers, chasing payments, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve overdue recovery targets through a proactive and structured approach
  • Contact business customers and clients regarding their accounts and ensure timely collection of past due balances
  • Proactively manage customer accounts to prevent delinquencies and ensure timely payment
  • Develop and maintain successful partnerships with customers, sales teams, and other office departments
  • Manage stopped accounts and resolve complex issues through negotiation and mediation
  • Maintain accurate credit files and collection records
  • Reconcile and resolve complex accounts, ensuring accurate financial reporting
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the sales force and leasing/credit partners
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in credit control or a related field
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills, with the ability to analyze complex data
  • Organized with exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of CRM management, with experience in Salesforce a plus
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and database functionalities, with SAP experience highly desirable
  • Knowledge and management of financial solutions, credit management, and credit collection techniques
  • Financial and economic skills and expertise, with a passion for financial analysis and problem-solving
