Director of Corporate Tax (UK & Europe)

Corpay is seeking a seasoned Director of Corporate Tax to join our Corporate Accounting & Finance division in the UK. As a key member of our global tax department, you will have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects, including international tax advisory, compliance, acquisition, and transfer pricing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the preparation and filing of tax returns, including corporate income tax, commodity/sales tax, transfer pricing, and other relevant tax filings in all jurisdictions where the company operates.
  • Prepare tax provisions, reconciliations, and disclosures for financial reporting purposes in accordance with IFRS, US GAAP, and local GAAP.
  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance with tax laws and regulations, including monitoring changes in tax legislation and advising management on potential impacts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the tax planning relating to acquisitions/ mergers, new business activities, and policies to ensure alignment with the company's overall objectives.
  • Manage transfer pricing compliance requirements across jurisdictions, including the preparation of transfer pricing calculations, policies, intercompany agreements, withholding tax obligations, and documentation in accordance with OECD and local regulations.
  • Manage external tax audits, inquiries, and controversies with tax authorities in various jurisdictions, ensuring favorable outcomes and minimizing potential exposures.
  • Analyze tax laws as applicable to the group, including researching and advising on various corporate tax matters for all jurisdictions.
  • Implement tax compliance controls and procedures to enhance the company's overall tax risk management framework.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness and expertise of the tax function.
  • Assist the FP&A team with annual commodity tax and transfer pricing budgeting.
Requirements:
  • 12+ years of experience working within the local and/or international tax function of a public accounting firm with experience in tax audit and/or corporate income tax.
  • Excellent team bonding skills and ability to work with others in a hybrid team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Bachelor's in Accounting, or have a Master of Taxation degree.
