Position Overview:


This role is ideal for an individual who excels in dynamic environments and is dedicated to providing both scheduled and emergency mechanical and electrical support to our operations.

In the capacity of Lead Maintenance Engineer, you will be instrumental in managing resources and engaging stakeholders to deliver an outstanding level of service to our clients, ensuring optimal efficiency and safety while promoting a collaborative and sustainable workplace.


Key Responsibilities:


- Conduct routine planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on all mechanical and electrical equipment in accordance with site task schedules and asset inventories.
- Ensure the timely completion of reactive maintenance tasks across the sites, proactively identifying areas for enhancement.
- Quickly resolve equipment faults and defects to maintain operational efficiency.
- Execute statutory maintenance tasks as specified in the SFG20 Maintenance guidelines.

- Maintain an inventory of appropriate spare parts for both maintenance and reactive tasks, providing parts lists and estimated timelines for remedial actions.

- Issue permits on behalf of PRS and third-party contractors as per contractual obligations.

- Ensure the prompt completion of all necessary documentation related to PPM, reactive maintenance, and breakdowns, forwarding it to the contract administrator without delay.

- Foster positive working relationships with team members, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Represent the company professionally to clients at all times.
- Keep plant logs consistently updated.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all plant areas under the company's jurisdiction.
- Act on assigned tasks promptly and appropriately.
- Carry out tasks with a strong focus on health and safety protocols.
- Adhere to contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with PRS's Technical and SHEQ processes and client requirements (or approved client system).

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- A technical background or formal education, with an HNC/HND/Foundation Degree being advantageous.
- Apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical maintenance.
- BOAS/BG01 training would be desirable.
- City and Guilds 236 A&B (2360 parts 1 and 2) or equivalent would be desirable.
- IET 17th edition certification would be desirable.
- City & Guilds 2394 / 2395 or 2391 Electrical Testing & Inspection or HVAC Qualified.
- Experience in team collaboration.
- Ability to think clearly in challenging situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook.
- Familiarity with a CAFM system.
- Strong background and proven track record in Facilities Management.
- Solid understanding of building services and relevant legislation.
- Professional qualifications and background.
