About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Solicitor Trainer to join our team at Express Solicitors. As a key member of our Professional Support team, you will play a vital role in the development and mentoring of our junior fee earners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training and Development
    • Design, deliver, and evaluate training programs for solicitors and other fee-earning staff.
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive training strategy to meet the needs of our business.
    • Collaborate with senior management, supervisors, and HR to identify training needs and develop solutions.
  • Coaching and Mentoring
    • Provide one-to-one coaching and mentoring to junior fee earners to support their professional development.
    • Help to identify and address training gaps and develop personalized training plans.
  • Proclaim Training
    • Deliver training and guidance on the use of Proclaim to aid case management and strategic performance of junior fee earners.
  • Graduate Scheme
    • Help develop, manage, and deliver our graduate scheme for law graduates.
  • Training Materials
    • Design, develop, and update training materials to reinforce and embed delivered training.
  • Feedback and Evaluation
    • Monitor feedback given on courses and make relevant changes to improve the quality of our training programs.
  • Reporting and Administration
    • Maintain accurate training records and reports to management on training activity and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • A qualified solicitor or qualified by experience with demonstrable experience within personal injury.
  • Ideal experience of composing and delivering training, either one-to-one, through workshops or presentations.
  • High IT literacy skills and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Organizational skills and ability to plan ahead and manage time effectively.
  • Able to tailor training packages to the level of the trainee group or individual as necessary.
What We Offer
  • A basic salary up to £36,000 depending on experience.
  • Standard working hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday-Thursday and 8:30am to 5pm Friday, with flexibility to discuss at interview.
  • 3/2 alternative working from home pattern staff after probation.
  • 23 days holiday a year, rising to 26 days.
  • 3 holiday buy backs per year after 1 year of service.
  • Extra day's holiday for your birthday after 2 years' service.
