We are seeking an experienced transactional finance professional to join our team as a Finance Assistant. This role offers a great salary and hybrid working arrangement, with an emphasis on Sales Ledger and Credit Control.
Key Responsibilities:- Invoicing and Sales Ledger Management: Ensure accurate and timely invoicing for all clients, including weekly and monthly returns to clients of service provided.
- Sales Ledger Reconciliation: Collaborate with the Management Accountant to complete monthly sales ledger reconciliation and ensure accuracy.
- Credit Control: Proactively work on credit control, including dealing with queries, issuing statements, chasing payment, and ensuring timely cash collection. This involves direct liaison with local authority councils and the NHS for most clients.
- Client Rate Negotiations: Assist with client rate negotiations, including supporting documentation and calculations around price uplifts and reviews.
- General Assistance: Provide general ad-hoc assistance to the finance team and business during critical times, including additional reporting, information, and support.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in transactional finance.
- Excellent IT skills, with experience of Sage advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills, comfortable talking with and challenging local authority clients.
- Ability to plan, work under pressure, multi-task, and meet short deadlines.
