Warehouse Operative Job Description

At Thermo Fisher Scientific, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, equipment, and products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products in a safe and organized manner
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
  • Perform inventory control activities, including cycle counts and reconciliations
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and effective manner
  • Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure flawless execution of warehouse operations
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and productivity
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment
  • Assist in training and mentoring new warehouse team members as needed
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Operative or in a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment
  • Proficient in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software
  • Forklift certification is preferred but not required
