Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced TIG welder and fabricator to join our dynamic workshop team at ABC Stainless Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality stainless steel welding and fabrication services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform TIG welding to a very high standard on a variety of stainless steel projects
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate fabrication
  • Contribute to the development of new projects and processes to improve efficiency and quality
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve project goals
  • Perform other duties as required to support the smooth operation of the workshop
Requirements
  • Essential Experience and Personal Requirements:
    • Ability to work with stainless steel sheet, plate, and pipework to very high standards
    • Ability to TIG weld to a very high standard
    • Ability to read from engineering drawings
    • Ability to contribute reasonable overtime hours if and when required
    • Be punctual, motivated, and hardworking
    • Perform well as an individual and team member
    • Good communication skills
    • Make rational decisions under their own initiative
  • Beneficial Skills/Experience:
    • Proven background in sheet metal fabrication, pipework, and welding
    • MIG welding experience
    • Operate CNC press brakes
    • MMA welding experience
    • Metal finishing/polishing
    • Driving license
    • Forklift license
    • Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) for site access
