About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at a well-maintained retirement home in Burton. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our elderly service users, providing personalized support and care to meet their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement care plans to ensure service users receive the appropriate level of support and understanding of their individual needs and preferences.
  • Undertake personal care duties, including observation checks, to maintain the residents' safety and hygiene.
  • Participate in activities to engage and entertain residents during their stay, promoting a sense of community and social interaction.
  • Ensure the safe use of moving and handling equipment, such as hoists, slide sheets, and rotundas, to assist residents with mobility needs.
  • Oversee the health and safety of service users under your care, adhering to relevant cleaning rotas and safety procedures.
Working Hours and Pay

We offer flexible working hours, including early shifts, nights, and a range of weekly pay options. Our competitive pay rates are as follows:

  • £11.50 per hour for Days
  • £12.00 per hour for Nights
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 months of paid UK work experience in a care home or nursing home setting.
  • A referenceable work history, with the ability to supply 2 professional reference contacts.
  • In-date mandatory training certificates.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate.

If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, we can help you with this. We offer online training at a subsidized fee, and the certificates are yours to keep.
