Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Remote (with occasional travel to client sites)
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and complete customs clearances for key clients, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with HMRC guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors to obtain and provide required information for customs clearances.
- Provide guidance to customers on importing goods into the UK, including commodity codes, customs procedures, and general requirements for importing products.
- Work within the standard set by Noble Recruiting's AEO accredited Freight Forwarder.
- Raise invoices, including duty/VAT invoices, and provide manual calculations of taxes to customers as required.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of at least two years working in a small to medium-sized freight forwarder.
- Previous experience with processing and completing entries using CDS, including deep sea ocean freight clearances or European road freight clearances.
- Confidence navigating HMRC's online tariffs and a good understanding of customs commodity codes and procedures.
- Knowledge of FTA, origin, and preference.
- Experience with using CNS and Destin8, with CCS-UK experience being a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a friendly personality.
- Competency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong and dynamic team player.
- Excellent maths and English skills.
