Gynaecological Oncologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic consultant gynaecologist with a strong interest in oncology and colposcopy to join our multidisciplinary team in Salford. This 10 PA post combines oncology and colposcopy with general gynaecology and emergency gynaecology, providing a challenging and rewarding role for the right candidate.
Main DutiesThe job plan will include oncology, colposcopy, and general gynaecology clinics, attendance at the gynae-oncology multidisciplinary team, elective surgery lists, and emergency gynaecology work. The post holder will be the deputy lead colposcopist and will have the opportunity to develop their skills and expertise in a supportive and collaborative environment.
About the RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for a consultant gynaecologist to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will have completed the Advanced Training in Surgical Management (ATSM) in local oncology or have equivalent skills and experience. They will also be a BSCCP accredited colposcopist with strong surgical skills, including minimal access skills.

Person SpecificationTo be considered for this role, you will need to have:
- CCT in O&G or expecting within 6 months
- BSCCP Colposcopy accreditation
- Strong surgical skills, including minimal access skills
Desirable qualifications include ATSM/Local Oncology experience and evidence of Accredited Clinical & Educational Supervision of Medical Learners. We also welcome applications from candidates with evidence of Leadership and Commitment to Quality Improvement.
