We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Safety, Health, Environment & Quality team at TOTAL TECHNOLOGY (ENGINEERING) LIMITED. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services, and will be responsible for managing our risk-based supplier assessment programme.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the risk-based supplier assessment programme, including conducting assessments and ensuring follow-up actions are taken to maintain a high level of quality.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, working with them to address any issues and ensure their systems and processes meet our quality standards.
- Collaborate with the Procurement team to develop and maintain a system for monitoring and communicating the performance of quality-critical suppliers.
- Represent the UK & Ireland business in global workgroups and contribute to the development of quality processes and procedures.
- Degree-level qualification in a technical subject such as chemical or mechanical engineering, or circa 4 years of relevant working experience in an operational, engineering, or Safety, Health, Quality role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Understanding of broad business and health & safety risk exposures, as well as the impact of non-conformities identified during audits.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements, or lead auditor qualification, or membership of the Chartered Quality Institute (desirable).
- Ability to work with integrity, role-modeling safe and inclusive workplace behaviors.
- Good IT skills, with knowledge of quality management systems.
