Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Porter to join our team at Loungers. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, supporting our chefs in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food preparation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Support the Head Chef in preparing ingredients, cooking, and presenting dishes to a high standard.
  • Contribute to the efficient running of the kitchen, including food preparation, plating, and presentation.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to achieve excellent customer service and high-quality food standards.
  • Participate in maintaining accurate records of food stock, waste, and inventory.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Able to lift and move heavy objects, and stand for long periods.
