As a member of the methodology team, you will contribute to the creation of risk methodologies utilized throughout the broader risk division. This position is situated within the Quantitative Risk Group (QRG) and will concentrate on methodologies related to market risk and valuations.

Your impact:

  • Collaborating closely with teams in Market Risk, Credit Risk, Product Control, and Front Office to deliver quantitative insights and practical solutions efficiently
  • Supporting the formulation of VaR / valuation adjustments and the modeling of market risk factors
  • Engaging in the continuous enhancement of various models, including
  • Exhibiting a solid understanding of derivatives across multiple asset classes (Fixed Income, Inflation, FX, Equity, etc.) from a theoretical standpoint
  • Translating complex technical details into comprehensible issues for senior management

Your qualifications:

  • Proficient in Python programming
  • Master's or PhD in a quantitative discipline (such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, or computer science) with modeling experience
  • Strong technical background and experience within the financial services sector
  • Solid understanding of risk management methodologies (e.g., VaR, Risk Capital, Stress Testing), financial derivatives, and related pricing challenges
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Demonstrable programming skills in R, QRM, and Excel VBA would be beneficial

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with an expectation of in-office attendance at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
