We are seeking a dedicated professional with a proven history of at least two years in a customs compliance role within a small to medium-sized logistics firm.
- Experience should encompass either Deep Sea Ocean Freight Clearances or European Road Freight Clearances.
- Proficient in navigating HMRC's online tariffs (UK online trade tariff and other). Our forwarding software utilized is Multi-freight.
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong proficiency in Mathematics and English.
Engage with a diverse range of clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather and disseminate essential information for the accurate and compliant processing of customs clearances in accordance with HMRC's regulations.
- Compliance: Ensure that all work adheres to the standards established by being part of an AEO accredited Freight Forwarder.
- When necessary, manually calculate taxes to assist clients in understanding the costs associated with HMRC.
- Prepare and oversee all requisite documentation for customs clearances, ensuring precision and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Training: Support the onboarding of new team members regarding customs clearance protocols and company procedures.
