We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible Multi Skilled Warehouse Operative to join our team at Hovis Ltd in Avonmouth, Bristol.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of the warehouse function, including minimising waste, ensuring orderfill fulfilment of 100%, achieving set targets prior to cut off and achieving objectives set out by the Logistics function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To carry out all aspects of the warehouse function in order to complete the daily workload within the planned time schedules
  • To ensure that you deliver to targets set on a shift, on a weekly basis
  • To ensure the warehouse function is completed to the highest standard
  • To ensure vehicles are loaded and unloaded within key performance indicator targets
  • To ensure that products are picked in the baskets correctly using block picking
  • To ensure that a high level of housekeeping hygiene is maintained at all times
Requirements:
  • Previous warehouse experience is desirable
  • A FLT licence is desirable but not essential as in house training will be given
  • Successful candidate will be flexible, good attendance and good timekeeping
  • The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated and a committed individual with a can do approach
  • Will have the ability to work on their own initiative to specific deadlines
  • Will have a positive attitude to work and be flexible to meet the challenging demands of the operation
  • Will be an effective communicator and be able to develop good working relationships at all levels
