Electrical Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team at our Hoddesdon site. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical systems, including instrumentation maintenance, emergency breakdowns, and preventative maintenance schedules.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct corrective and preventative instrumentation maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns, prioritizing swift resolution to minimize downtime.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with GxP standards.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Workshop Supervisor to identify maintenance plan improvements and optimize maintenance activities.
- Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities, adhering to GxP standards and generating timely reports.
- Participate in small projects, including design, installation, and commissioning of minor systems.
- Continuously seek innovative methods to complete tasks efficiently, without compromising safety or quality.
- Maintain a sufficient stock of materials, equipment, and parts, identifying low stocks for restocking.
- Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards of safety, proactively addressing potential hazards and risks.
- Liaise with impacted personnel, minimizing disruptions and keeping them informed of progress and completion targets.
- Formal Electrical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent.
- Post-apprenticeship experience working as an electrical technician in a similar environment.
- City and Guilds accredited or equivalent recognized formal qualification in a secondary engineering discipline (desirable).
- Broad-based knowledge and interest in engineered systems and maintenance.
- Understanding of GxP principles and working in clean room environments.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good documentation, record-keeping, and report-writing abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer focus.
- Extreme safety consciousness.
- Helpful, responsive, and committed to delivering exceptional results.
- Team player with a proactive and self-starting attitude.
- Knowledge and experience with GMP manufacturing equipment, including tablet/capsule compression machines, fluid bed dryers, micronisers, and spray coaters.
- Recognized formal qualification in a secondary engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
