Wood PLC is actively seeking a Senior Package Engineer to contribute to our offshore wind energy initiatives on a permanent basis.

Our extensive experience spans across carbon capture, hydrogen production, and renewable energy sectors, complemented by our proficiency in cutting-edge technologies and sustainable design practices. We collaborate closely with our clients and the broader supply chain to minimize carbon emissions throughout the value chain while delivering digital solutions tailored to the asset's lifecycle. Our diverse project portfolio includes new developments, enhancements of existing facilities, and optimization of systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Senior Package Engineer, you will play a vital role in our project teams, with responsibilities including:

  • Creating data sheets for vendor packages, encompassing process packages, vessels, rotating machinery, and heat exchangers.
  • Defining mechanical requirements throughout various project phases, including conceptual, preliminary, final, and operational support.
  • Drafting requisitions for Long Lead Items.
  • Assessing and analyzing equipment suppliers' bids for Long Lead Items and compiling bid evaluation reports.
  • Preparing budget inquiries to assist in cost estimation.
  • Providing expert support and guidance on package equipment issues.
QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Experience working with vendor packages during the FEED phase in the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors.
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A flexible approach, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant API and ASME codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
