Position Overview:
We are seeking a Corporate Tax Finance Lead to become a vital part of our team. This role offers a hybrid working model, allowing flexibility between office and remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
In this dynamic position, you will oversee tax compliance and reporting functions executed within Liberty Shared Services (LSS) for our diverse clientele across the Liberty Global network.
- Collaborate with clients to establish delivery expectations and ensure services meet those standards, emphasizing a commitment to ongoing process enhancement, automation, and efficiency through technological advancements.
- Manage tax compliance across various jurisdictions, navigating complex tax regulations and differing compliance requirements.
- Engage with accounting, tax, commercial, legal, and treasury teams within LSS and our client organizations to achieve shared objectives.
What You Will Do:
- Prepare and review tax computations and provisions for both UK and international clients, ensuring accuracy in quarterly and year-end tax calculations (IFRS and US GAAP).
- Act as the primary contact for customer service delivery, ensuring effective stakeholder management while identifying and implementing improvements through technology and automation.
- Mentor and guide junior tax team members, fostering collaboration with other LSS teams and ensuring accurate representation of tax technicalities in returns.
- Work closely with clients' tax and accounting departments to understand their operational needs and technology frameworks.
- Optimize organizational structures to minimize risks and errors while expanding the LSS Tax team's reach to new clients by showcasing the value of our services.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
We are looking for individuals with:
- Demonstrated experience as a Finance Manager or Accountant, holding a Chartered Accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA, CTA, or equivalent).
- Post-qualification experience in corporate tax compliance and reporting within industry or practice.
- Familiarity with UK tax matters, including CIR, CFC, Hybrids, R&D, and Group Payment Arrangements.
- Proficiency in tax software such as Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE or similar platforms.
- Strong coaching abilities and a mindset geared towards continuous process improvement.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.
