About The Role
In light of our business's sustained expansion, we are in search of a Transport Supervisor to oversee our depot operations. The Transport Supervisor will manage the Transport Depot and step in for the Transport Manager when necessary.
This role presents an excellent opportunity to be part of an award-winning Transport team recognized for its operational, business, and health & safety excellence over the past two years.
The Transport Supervisor will work full-time, 40 hours per week, across 5 days, from Monday to Friday. The shifts for this position will be scheduled between 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm.
During peak operational times, hours may adjust to 40 hours a week over 5 days, from Monday to Sunday, with prior notice provided.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the transport management team in ensuring efficient transport operations.
- Oversee the trunking operations to ensure seamless evening operations.
- Ensure all vehicles comply with legal maintenance standards.
- Assist drivers with tasks in the Transport Yard as needed.
- Help prepare vehicles for deliveries.
- Manage drivers to adhere to working hours and regulations, ensuring full compliance.
- Conduct thorough investigations of incidents, accidents, and near misses.
- Assist the training team in onboarding new drivers.
- Support the Transport Manager and training team in recruiting new drivers.

About You
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
• Experience in a transport office handling multi-drop deliveries.
• Minimum of 1 year of team leader or management experience in a transport or logistics environment.
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
• Proficient IT skills, particularly in Excel.
• Strong understanding of driver hours and working time regulations.
• Knowledge of driver compliance standards.
• IOSH Certificate and First Aid Certificate are advantageous.
• LGV Licence and CPC Card are preferred.
