We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team at Houghton & Son Limited. As a family-run building company based in Chelmsford, we require a professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality workmanship and has a strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working on various sites across Essex, with a focus on working mainly with wood. They will be self-motivated, hardworking, and able to work independently, with excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out carpentry work to a high standard, ensuring quality and attention to detail.
  • Work safely and efficiently, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients, providing updates and progress reports as required.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the company, identifying opportunities for improvement and suggesting solutions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Carpenter, with a strong portfolio of work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Valid qualifications and certifications, as required by the industry.
