About the Role

Scotland's Rural College (SRUC) is seeking a highly skilled Agricultural Consultant to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering expert advice to farmers, crofters, and land managers across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on sustainable agricultural practices and farm management strategies.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver consultancy services, including business planning, financial analysis, and market research.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to promote SRUC's services and expertise.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and policy developments to ensure the highest level of service delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience in agricultural consultancy, farm management, or a related field.
• Strong technical knowledge of agricultural practices, including crop and animal production, and farm business management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop effective solutions.
