Maintenance Technician Job Opportunity

MRD Recruitment is pleased to announce a vacancy for a Maintenance Technician to join our client's team in Greenock. The successful candidate will report directly to the Operations Manager and be responsible for carrying out repairs, maintenance, and monitoring systems and equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical biased background and possess excellent problem-solving skills to identify, correct, and prevent system/equipment faults. They will also be able to work effectively as part of a team in an engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out repairs, maintenance, and monitoring of systems and equipment
  • Work as part of a team in an engineering environment
  • Demonstrate an understanding of safety systems
  • Identify, correct, and prevent system/equipment faults

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a recognised technical apprenticeship
  • Suitable qualifications include ONC/HNC or City & Guilds
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable using MS Office software packages (mainly Excel)
