About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Designated Safeguarding Lead. This role will encompass a shared responsibility for providing advice and consultation on risk, safeguarding, and complex need within our service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and consultation on risk, safeguarding, and complex need to the wider service.
  • Support the service in enhancing its response to safeguarding and complex need, ensuring balanced and evidence-based decisions are made in the best interest of service users.
  • Represent the service in wider partnership meetings, including Domestic Abuse Risk Management Meetings, MARAC, Strategy Discussions, and Best Interest meetings.
  • Work alongside the Young Person's Service to ensure collaborative approaches are embedded and offered to service users.
  • Develop meaningful and individual interventions to support recovery and reduce risk, working alongside Recovery Coordinators and other specialists.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a valid qualification in Social Work and registration with Social Work England. The ideal candidate will have experience in leadership and the development of others using reflective practice, as well as excellent communication and decision-making skills.
