About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at FCC Environment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the engineering function across our quarry sites and workshops, ensuring the health and safety of staff, contractors, and visitors, and minimizing the environmental impact of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the engineering function across four quarry sites and three engineering workshops
- Ensure the health and safety of staff, contractors, and visitors to site
- Minimize the environmental impact of the engineering function
- Plan and execute engineering projects in line with the annual budget
- Manage engineering staff and contractors, including recruitment, training, and performance management
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all types of quarrying plant
- Develop and implement good communications and professional relationships between all levels of staff and employees on site
Requirements
- Experience in the maintenance and repair of all types of quarrying plant
- At least five years of management experience in the quarry or similar industrial facility
- QCF 6/NVQ4 in Extractives Management or willingness to study for it
- Qualified electrician or extensive electrical knowledge preferred
