Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Technical Manager at Focus Management Consultants. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing processes for technical approval, covering fresh produce, ingredients, and packaging, including new supplier approval and raw materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement technical processes and procedures to ensure compliance with UK retailers' codes of practice and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the Head of Technical to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize processes.
- Conduct external audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with food safety risks and allergens.
- Work closely with the procurement team to develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Travel to audit suppliers across the UK, requiring a full UK driving license.
- Work one day from home to balance work and personal life.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in a food manufacturing environment, preferably supplier-facing.
- Strong understanding of UK retailers' codes of practice and quality standards.
- Awareness of food safety risks and allergens.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
