Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant primary school in Iver, Buckinghamshire.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide essential support to students with SEMH needs, assisting with both academic and emotional development. This will involve collaborating closely with teachers and other staff members to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support and small group interventions as required, ensuring the well-being and progress of all students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement effective behavior management strategies.
  • Support students with SEMH needs in a variety of settings, including classrooms, playgrounds, and other school environments.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with both students and colleagues.
  • A compassionate and patient approach, coupled with a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment, as well as independently when required.
